Porto de Santos

The Port of Santos is the largest in Latin America, connecting to over 600 ports across 200 countries. In 2023, it handled 173 million tons of cargo and 5 million TEU. Its primary hinterland comprises five states that for 50% of Brazil’s GDP. 4e2x1t

Santos is Brazil’s most important foreign trade route, with nearly 29% of the country’s trade flow (USD 165.8 billion) ing through the port. It ranks 40th on Lloyd’s Top 100 list of the largest container ports, being the second largest in Latin America and the only Brazilian port on the list.

The Santos Port Authority is the institution responsible for managing the public port, overseeing its operations and security. It strives to be a leader in sustainability, efficiency, agility, competitiveness, and integrity, ensuring the Port of Santos remains the largest and best in Latin America. In 2023, the company achieved a net revenue of USD 311.7 million (with 1 USD = 5.1 BRL).
